Racial abuse, drink driving and assaulting police - a round up of the latest Sunderland court cases

The following cases from the Sunderland area have all been dealt with at South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court recently:

Melissa Bone, 34, of Waterloo Walk, Sulgrave, Washington, was fined £120 and ordered to pay a £32 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs after admitting using threatening or abusive words or behaviour in a racially aggravated manner in South Shields on November 16 last year.

Callum Joseph Shipley, 27, of Ringwood Square, Red House, Sunderland, was fined £80 and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting assaulting a police officer on May 28.

Dean Melvyn Bell, 32, of Osman Close, Hendon, Sunderland, was fined £80 and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting breaching a restraining order by contacting a woman he was forbidden from communicating with on June 28.

Scott Anthony Crowe, 27, of Greenfield Way, Chilton Moor, was banned from driving for 12 months, fined £120 and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting drink driving on July 24.

Liam Maddison, 26, of Sulgrave Road, Sulgrave, Washington, received six penalty points on his driving licence, was fined £120 and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting failing to stop after an accident and careless driving on February 14.

Brian Paul Fishwick, 46, of Aberdeen Tower, Sunderland, was fined £80 and ordered to pay a £32 victim surcharge after admitting breaching a non-molestation order by attending an address he was forbidden from visiting on December 3 last year and February 3.
