Possessing cocaine and making distressing phone calls - a round up of the latest Sunderland court cases

The following cases from the Sunderland area were dealt with at South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court:

Calvin Parkinson, 31, of Canon Cockin Street, Hendon, Sunderland, received a 120-month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay a £22 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs after admitting causing distress or anxiety by making a threatening phone call on August 3.

Wayne Stuart Little, 41, of Thornton Court, Washington, was banned from driving for six months, fined £60 and ordered to pay a £32 victim surcharge and £85 costs after he was convicted of speeding in Burdon Lane, Ryhope, on November 19 last year.

Kimberley Zara Wilson, 36, of Rowlandson Terrace, Sunderland, received six penalty points on her driving licence, was fined £210 and ordered to pay a £32 victim surcharge and £85 costs after she was convicted of failing to provide information leading to the identity of a driver suspected of committing an offence on November 29 last year.

Chris Bezuidenhout, 32, of Roker Avenue, Sunderland, was fined £133 and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting breaching a restraining order by contacting a named woman on May 4.

Ryan Anthony Charles Perry, 24, of Grange Terrace, Sunderland, was fined £180 and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting possessing cocaine on July 5.

Sarah Brown, 26, of Houghtonside, Houghton, was banned from driving for a year, fined £120 and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting drink driving on July 29.

Gavin Corr, 43, of Hartside Square, Sunderland, was fined £135 and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £120 costs after admitting breaching a restraining order on May 19.
