Police search for wanted man with links to Peterlee

A man hunt it under way to find a 40-year-old man who is wanted by police after failing to appear at court.

Durham Constabulary are appealing for the pubic's help to locate Michael Smith who is wanted for failing to appear at court.

The 40-year-old is believed to have links to both the Peterlee and Stanley areas.

Posting the appeal on social media, a spokesman for the force said: “Anybody with information is asked to contact Durham Police on 101.”
