Police launch CCTV appeal following a theft from an elderly couple’s front garden in Ashbrooke

Northumbria Police are appealing to members of the public for help in tracking down a man they want to speak to regarding a theft from a front garden.

Officers were called to a property in the Ashbrooke area of Sunderland at around 10.35am on Thursday, May 20, following a report of a theft of two ornamental pot plants.

Police say they then drove off from the scene and an investigation has been launched.

Officers have identified a man who was in the area at the time and would like to trace him as he could have information that could assist with the investigation.
