Police hunting two prisoners with North East links who have absconded

Lancaster Police are looking for Daniel Plaice, Steven Ford and Kenneth Yorke.

Plaice and Ford are wanted for absconding from HMP Kirkham at around 6pm on Sunday, November 24.

Plaice was jailed for five years and 10 months at Teesside Crown Court in 2018 for attempted robbery, possession of a bladed article and burglary.

He is described as 5ft 7in tall, of medium build, with short brown straight hair and blue eyes.

He has tattoos on his neck, arms and legs including a Tasmanian devil wearing a death cloak, ‘Made in England’ and a skull with dagger.

He has links to Cleveland and Durham.

Ford was sentenced at Teesside Crown Court in 2018 to three years and six months in prison for burglary and dangerous driving.

He is described as being 5ft 11in tall, of medium/large build, with short brown hair and blue eyes, and tattoos including ‘Angel’ on his neck, a bulldog on his shoulder and ‘Fordy’ on his left hand and has links to Cleveland.

Both speak with a North East accent.

Yorke, 28, is believed to have breached his release licence terms on October 31 after breaking a curfew.

He had been sentenced in November 2018 at Durham Crown Court to 21 months in prison for burglary and six months for handling stolen goods.

Yorke is from Bishop Auckland and could be in the Durham area.

He is described as white, around 6ft 2ins tall, with short black hair and scars on his neck, head and hands.

Sgt Adie Knowles, of Lancaster Police, said: “Yorke has breached the terms of his release licence and we are asking anybody who sees him, or who has information about where he may be, to get in touch straight away.”
