Police hunt for wanted Sunderland man after breach of prison licence

Detectives have turned to the Sunderland community to help track down a wanted man.

Alan Jordan, who is from the city, is wanted by officers on prison recall after breaching the terms of his licence.

Northumbria Police has searched various addresses across Wearside in a bid to locate the 29-year-old, who is avoiding officers despite knowing that he is wanted.

It is believed that Jordan may have links to the Derbyshire area and enquiries are ongoing in both the North East and in the Midlands.

Today, Friday, January 15, detectives have appealed to members of the public who may have seen him to come forward with information.

A spokesperson for the force said: “We would like to reiterate that it is a criminal offence to harbour somebody who is evading arrest and we do not want anyone to get into trouble on Jordan’s account.”
