Northumbria Police are asking for the public’s help in finding those they believe to be responsible for offences in the force area.
The force issued a list of 12 men are all being sought by officers, releasing their details to the public in a bid to have them arrested before Christmas Day.
Now officers have confirmed that two men on their list have been arrested and are continuing to appeal for the help of the public to find the remaining 10 men.
Among those included are a number of people who have previously been convicted of burglary-related offences and are now wanted for prison recall.
Detective Chief Inspector Michelle Robson, burglary lead at Northumbria Police, said: "We are releasing names of a dozen people suspected of committing burglaries in our force area in recent months.
“They have ignored all of our attempts to speak to them and know they are wanted by police, so now we need your help to track them down.
"We want these people arrested before Christmas so if you have any information that could help locate them then please don’t hesitate to get in touch."
If you can help track down any of those named by police then report it online at the ‘Tell Us Something’ pages of the Northumbria Police website.
You can also call police on 101 or contact independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
