Police appeal for information after car is stolen from Sunderland address

Officers are appealing for information to trace a man after a car was stolen from a Sunderland home.

Northumbria Police are investigating a break-in at an address off Peareth Grove, Sunderland between midnight and 12.30pm on December 14 after an offender stole a set of car keys from inside the unoccupied property and made off in a vehicle which was parked in the garage.

Officers have identified a man they would like to speak to in connection with the burglary and are appealing for any information.

An investigation was launched immediately after the incident with detectives carrying enquiries.

The man was seen in the area at the time of the offence and police say he could have valuable information that can assist officers with their investigation.

Police are asking the man, or anyone who knows him, to contact police via the ‘Tell Us Something’ page of their website or by ringing 101 quoting log 397 141220.

Alternatively, information can be passed on via Crimestoppers anonymously.
