Police have made a plea for help in tracing a wanted man in connection with a number of suspected shoplifting offences.

Officers are appealing to the public to help find Daniel Hart, 28 who is wanted in connection with a number of suspected shoplifting offences.

The 28-year-old has links to Peterlee, Durham and Shotton Colliery.

A Peterlee police spokesperson said: “Officers are keen to speak to him in connection with a number of shoplifting offences.

"If you've seen him or know of his whereabouts, please call 101.”
