Offensive 999 calls, stealing £389 of razor blades and other recent Sunderland court cases

The following cases from the Sunderland area were heard at South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court:

Callum Ross, 23, of Britannia Road, Sunderland, received a six-month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay a £22 victim surcharge after admitting making an indecent or grossly offensive 999 telephone call on August 13.

Nicola Barclay, 33, of Gill Crescent, Fence Houses, received a community order and was ordered to pay a £95 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs after admitting using threatening or abusive words or behaviour in Sunderland on October 9.

Adam Leon McDermott, 31, of Bleasdale Crescent, Penshaw, was fined £120 and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting being drunk and disorderly on August 12.

Martin Brown, 21, of Fordham Road, Sunderland, was ordered to pay £300 compensation and £85 costs after admitting causing £300 worth of damage to a car windscreen on March 21.

Louise Ann Stabler, 32, whose address was given as Low Newton Prison, was fined £40 and ordered to pay a £32 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting stealing £389 worth of razor blades from Sainsbury’s, in Washington, on December 26 last year.

Paul Conlon, 42, of Deansfield Close, Sunderland, was banned from driving for a year, fined £300 and ordered to pay a £32 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting drink driving and driving without insurance on March 11.

Shafiq Iqbal, 27, of Thornhill Crescent, Sunderland, was banned from driving for 16 months, fined £350 and ordered to pay a £32 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting drink driving on August 13.
