Missing 12-year-old Kiera Simpson is found safe and well

Durham Constabulary issued an urgent appeal through its social media accounts this morning in an effort to trace Kiera Simpson who had last been seen at her home in the Murton area at 11am today, Saturday, December 26.

Kiera, or anyone who knows anything her whereabouts, was urged to call Durham Constabulary as soon as possible.

The force has now confirmed she has been found and is home with her family.
