Man who harassed Sunderland woman by writing her letters is jailed
Wayne Thomas Hutchinson, who also visited his Sunderland victim’s address without permission, was imprisoned for 16 weeks after a court decided the “offence was aggravated by the defendant’s record of previous offending”.
He was additionally ordered not to “send, deliver or post or attempt to send, deliver or post any form of communication” to a named city address under the terms of a restraining order.

South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court was told that Hutchinson had already twice breached a previous restraining order dating back to 2018.
On this latest occasion, he admitted harassment after he “sent unsolicited letters and attended her home address” between July 1 and September 9 last year.
Hutchinson, 54, of Park Road, Stanley, County Durham, was also ordered to pay a £128 victim surcharge.
