Man arrested on suspicion of trying to meet an underage girl in Hetton
A 33-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempting to meet an underage girl following grooming.
Police officers arrested a man in the Hetton area on Sunday, January 5, and he has now been released under investigation.
A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “We can confirm that a 33-year-old man was arrested in the Hetton area on Sunday on suspicion of attempting to meet an underage girl following grooming.
“He has been released under investigation and enquiries are ongoing.”
