Drink driving and handling a stolen slush machine - a round up of the latest Sunderland court cases

The following Sunderland cases have all been dealt with by South Northumberland Magistrates’ Court, sitting at either Sunderland or South Shields, recently:

Mark Anthony Johnson, 27, of Gerrard Road, was banned from driving for a year, fined £120 and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs after admitting drink driving on July 11.

Daniel Evans, 29, of Ancona Street, was banned from driving for 36 months, fined £120 and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting drug driving on December 31 last year.

Lewis Stubbs, 20, of Fordenbridge Square, Ford Estate, received a six-month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay a £21 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting possessing cannabis on December 17 last year.

Endri Cela, 30, of Gainsborough Road, was banned from driving for 22 months, fined £207 and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting drink driving on June 28.

Damian Cunningham, 21, of Runcorn Road, received a 12-month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay £300 compensation, a £22 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting assault and criminal damage on June 28.

Carl Everett, 26, of Haws Court, was fined £200 and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting using threatening or abusive words or behaviour on July 24.

Jade Hutchinson, 33, of Stratford Avenue, was fined £250 and ordered to pay a £30 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting dishonestly receiving stolen goods, namely a slush machine, on May 9, 2018.
