Here are 22 people jailed during the month.
They were all sentenced at Newcastle Crown Court unless otherwise stated.
13. Hayman Abdul Karim
Karimi, 39, whose address was given as HMP Doncaster, had been found guilty in his absence of two offences of breaching a restraining order on June 10 by Sunderland magistrates. He was jailed for eight weeks on each charge, to run consecutively, and ordered to pay £300 compensation
14. Tyrone Richardson
Richardson, 34, of no fixed abode, was jailed for 14 days at South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court after admitting breach of a post-sentence supervision order
15. David Cooper
Cooper, 32, of Dellfield Drive, Sunderland, admitted making and distributing indecent images of children, possessing extreme pornography and possessing a small amount of amphetamine. Judge Bindloss sentenced him to a total of 18 months behind bars. Cooper must sign the sex offenders register and abide by a sexual harm prevention order for ten years
16. Craig and Scott Brown
Scott Brown, 34, of Collingwood Court, Sulgrave, Washington, pleaded guilty to section 47 assault, affray, and criminal damage. Craig Brown, 32, of Avenue Vivien, Fence Houses, pleaded guilty to affray, possession of an offensive weapon and criminal damage. Judge Stephen Earl sentenced both men to two years and seven months behind bars
