Durham Constabulary have issued an appeal for information following the discovery of a man’s body in Peterlee on Friday, May 29.

The body was discovered at the rear of Pasmore’s Pavillion in Castle Eden Dene, by two members of the public just before 1.30pm.

A post-mortem is due to be carried out today (Monday, June 1).

A spokesperson for Durham Constabulary said: “Police are appealing for information after a body was found in Castle Eden Dene, Peterlee, just before 1.30pm on Friday.

“Two members of the public discovered a man’s body in the area at the rear of Pasmore’s Pavilion.“An investigation is ongoing and a post-mortem is due to be carried out.”

Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting incident reference number 188 of May 29 or contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
