Attacking police and damaging Metro windows - the latest Sunderland court cases

The following court cases were dealt with recently at Sunderland Magistrates’ Court:

Pierce Ramsay, 32, of Gleneagles Road, Sunderland, was fined £220 and ordered to pay a £32 victim surcharge and £310 prosecution costs after he was convicted of driving without a valid licence on August 1 last year.

Craig Finnigan, 39, of Baden Crescent, Town End Farm, Sunderland, was fined £135 and ordered to pay a £32 victim surcharge and £150 costs after he admitted assaulting a female police officer on November 27 last year.

Adam Noble, 20, of Tanfield Street, Sunderland, received six penalty points on his licence, was fined £600 and ordered to pay a £66 victim surcharge and £120 costs after he was convicted of driving without a valid licence and insurance on August 22 last year.

Connor Bates, 22, of St Ignatius Close, Hendon, Sunderland, was ordered to pay £1,200 compensation to Nexus after admitting criminally damaging two Metro train windows at Pallion Metro Station on December 18 last year.

Wendy Walker, 55, of Gartland Road, Sunderland, was banned from driving for 22 months, fined £300 and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £400 costs after she was convicted of failing to provide a specimen of breath when required to do so on July 14.

Graeme Joseph Jordan, 39, of Topcliff, Sunderland, was banned from driving for six months under the totting up process, fined £323 and ordered to pay a £32 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting speeding at 58 miles per hour in a 50 miles per hour zone of the A690 near Houghton Cut on March 12.

Lee Thomas Hobson, 35, of Beechwood Terrace, Sunderland, was banned from driving for six months under the totting up process, fined £900 and ordered to pay a £90 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting failing to identify a driver when required to do so on August 27 last year and September 25 last year.
