Appeal following criminal damage in Sunderland tower block

Detectives investigating criminal damage at a Sunderland block of flats have released an image of a man they would like to identify.

A man is reported to have gained entry to a communal block of flats overnight at Devonshire Tower, on Devonshire Street, Monkwearmouth.

The man caused damage to the communal door before climbing through a window and entering a property. Nothing was reported to have been stolen.

A number of enquiries have been ongoing into the incident, which happened between 3.30am and 4am on May 3.

Now police have identified a man they would like to trace as part of their enquiries. He was in the area at the time and could have information that can assist officers with the ongoing investigation.
