Comments not informed

Councillor Gillian Galbraith wrote, when commenting on bus services in Sunderland (December 15), 'but surely when it comes to our bus service passengers must be taken into consideration before large profits'.

Before penning this did Coun Galbraith bother to establish the level of profit made by Go-North East?

Could Coun Galbraith tell us what she considers profit levels should be and what she considers are large profits?

Profits are needed for investment. Could Coun Galbraith inform us what a new bus costs to buy and how many new buses Go-North East has purchased, say over the last five years.

I know Go-North East welcomes informed criticism but Coun Galbraith’s comments are not informed.
