Child hit by car near Washington school
A child has been hit by a car near a school in Washington.
Police and ambulance crew were called to Station Road in Columbia just before 9am.
A police spokeswoman said: "At 8.50am this morning, police were informed a child had been knocked down by a vehicle near John F Kennedy Primary School in Station Road in Columbia.
"The extent of injuries are not known but they are not believed to be life-threatening."
