Can you help find 86-year-old Joseph?

An elderly man has gone missing - and police are appealing for the public's help to get him back home safely.

Joseph Thompson, 86, from Silver Court in Deckham, was last seen around 3pm today (Saturday, November 26).

He is 5ft 7ins tall, of medium build and has grey hair.

He was last wearing a light blue summer jacket, black jogging bottoms and slippers. a spokesman for Northumbria Police has said.

Joseph suffers from dementia and is believed to have headed in direction of Gateshead Interchange.

He is known to travel on the buses and bus companies in the area are being checked.
