Bradley Lowery 'will be waiting with open arms for Uncle Bill', say family after death of Everton chairman Bill Kenwright

The family of Bradley Lowery have said he will be waiting with 'his arms open for Uncle Bill' as they paid tribute to Everton FC Chairman Bill Kenwright.

Tributes have been pouring in for Mr Kenwright, who died aged 78 on October 23.

The football boss had been a supporter of Bradley's family, and donated £200,000 towards treatment abroad when Bradley was battling neuroblastoma.

The money then passed into the Foundation funds to help other children, with the blessing of Mr Kenwright.

In a post on the Bradley Lowery Foundation Facebook page, the family of the little lad they were 'absolutely devastated to hear of the passing of Bill Kenwright, aka, Uncle Bill'.

"He was an amazing gentleman, who went above and beyond to help me and my family after Bradley went with the angels," the post read.

"I had many long chats with Bill, always asking his advice, he was one in a million.

"I will never forget what he did for us My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this very sad time. Bradley will be waiting with his arms open ready to give you a big cuddle, like he did the first time he met you. Fly high Bill "
