Boy, ten, hit by car close to Washington primary school
A ten-year-old boy has been knocked down close to a Washington primary school.
The accident happened shortly before 3.30pm today when the boy was hit by a car in Manor Road, Concord, near Usworth Colliery Primary School.
Northumbria Police and the North East Ambulance Service have been attended but there are no details as yet of how badly the boy is hurt.
The road is closed.
