That's according to leading sports spread betting company Sporting Index, which has predicted how all 20 Premier League teams will get on.

Sunderland have been tipped to finish on 41 points, which would see them survive the drop by three points, and finish in 17th place.

Below them would be newly-promoted trio Middlesbrough, Hull City and Burnley.

At the other end of the table, meanwhile, Pep Guardiola has been backed to lead Manchester City to the title ahead of rivals Manchester United by one point.

Arsenal and Chelsea would make up the rest of the top four, with champions Leicester City in seventh.

Ed Fulton, trading spokesman for Sporting Index, said: “This year’s Premier League is set to be one of the most competitive in recent memory, with City emerging victorious by a single point and the top four separated by just five points.

“Leicester City fans dreaming of a repeat of last season’s fairytale may be in for a shock when they look at our Premier League points market and see Claudio Ranieri’s side, possible shorn of the service of N’Golo Kante, down in seventh.

“Over in North London, rather than kicking on for another run at the title, Harry Kane and co look set to lose out to rivals Chelsea for a top four place. Burnley, Hull and Middlesbrough supporters should probably just look away now.”
