West Boldon Residents’ Association will hold an Italian Night in Leonardo’s Italian Restaurant in West Boldon tomorrow.
Boldon Churches Together short Lenten service followed by a light lunch of sandwiches or soup and a bun will continure this Thursday at noon in East Boldon United Refored Church on Front Street, East Boldon, and the following Thursday at noon at St Nicholas Church in West Boldon. Donations in lieu of light refreshments will be accepted and divided in aid of CAFOD and Christian Aid.

Hide AdThis Thursday Folk Band Seganainm will be at The Travelling Man in West Boldon to celebrate St Patrick’s Night with Irish Stew.
An antique and interiors sale will be held in Boldon Auction Rooms, East Boldon tomorrow at 10am.
East Boldon Methodist Church will hold its coffee morning tomorrow in the church hall, on the corner of Bridle Path. There will be a bring-and-buy, cake stall and homemade refreshments. On April 27 from 2pm- 3.30pm, Enid Bond’s Flower Club which takes place each Wednesday in the church hall, will host a spring afternoon tea with homemade refreshments, raffle and sale of floral arrangements made by members.
Pam Alexander, area chairman of the National Association of Flower Arrangers, will demonstrate flowers on the theme of Down the Garden Path to members and friends of the Cleadon Floral Arrangement Society in All Saints’ Parish Hall in Cleadon tonight at 7.30pm. Light refreshment served. Admission at the door.

Hide AdThe next messy church will be held in St Nicholas Church on Hedworth Lane, Boldon Colliery on Good Friday at 10.30am.
Lots of activities are planned at West Boldon Lodge Environmental Centre during the Easter holidays. Easter Open Days are being held on March 24 and 29 at 10am.and 1pm. Pirate Open Days will be held on March 31 and April 4 at 10am and 1pm and Forest Adventure Day on Thursday, April 7, at 10am and 1pm. Cost is £5 per child and £2. per adult. Bookings are being taken by Joyce Longstaff on behalf of St George’s Church in East Boldon for the spring trip to Hesleyside House and Gardens and a visit to Hexham.
