St. George’s Church in East Boldon have arranged an autumn trip to Holyroodhouse Palace, Edinburgh, calling at Jedburgh en route and Edinburgh City leaving outside the church on Front Street in East Boldon at 8.30am, on Friday, October 14. The cost is £28. Per person which includes entry to the Exhibition in the Palace entitled The Queen’s Clothes Throughout Her Reign. Bookings by the end of September please. Hide AdThere is an open invitation to come along to Grange Park in East Boldon this Saturday and join in the fun from 12noon-4pm. The Friends of East Boldon Parks have once again organised this great September event to help raise necessary funds to improve the Parks in East Boldon. Live Music, local food and ale plus a variety of stalls, refreshments, activities, games and entertainment. The cake competition for children and adults will take entries up to 2.30pm on the day. Entries for the ‘I Love my Pet Because’ competition and Best in Show accepted from well-controlled, friendly pets. The price of the children’s wristband this year will include unlimited turns on the giant inflatable castle, rodeo bull, face painting & games. Cake donations for the Afternoon Tea will be gratefully received on the day.

Boldon Auction Galleries will hold an antique and interior sale tomorrow at 10am. Viewing today from 2pm-6pm, and from 9am on day of sale.
A new rehearsal schedule commenced on September 6th at St. Nicholas in Hedworth of the Benefice Worship Music Group. New members welcome to come along and sing. Benefice will be performing on Sunday September 25th at Hedworth Parish Church commencing at 6pm, celebrating the Rev. David Dukes 50th Ordination Anniversary to the Priesthood.

The Friendship Group takes place every second Tuesday of the month in East Boldon Methodist Church Hall from 2pm. There is an open invitation to all to come along and join them for afternoon tea and activities. The 1st & 3rd Wednesday of the month coffee morning, bring and buy, cake stall etc will take place on Wednesday 21st September from 10am.
