Boldon crash causes rush-hour delays
A crash brought rush-hour chaos to one of the region's busiest roads this morning.
A Ford Fiesta collided with the central reservation of the A184 Newcastle Road near Boldon Colliery shortly before 7am.
One lane of the westbound carriageway was closed for around two hours.
No other vehicles were involved and it is not believed anyone was hurt.
