Bike lovers enjoy annual event in Durham
Thousands of people went along to Durham Constabulary’s 2016 Bikewise event.
This year the show celebrated its 22nd anniversary and was bigger and better than ever.

Hide AdThe many attractions included Darlington-based stunt rider Dave Coates, who showed off his supreme bike skills and Isle of Man TT legend John McGuinness.
Freestyle motocross rider Jamie Squibb showcased his death-defying stunts while mountain bike display riders 3SIXTY wowed the crowds with their technical ability.
The force’s Police Interceptors met their many fans and a police dogs display entertained the crowds at the Aykley Heads HQ.
Scotland’s premier tribal band Clann An Drumma, plus rockers Kimera provided a lively soundtrack as thousands enjoyed the funfair and various stalls.

Hide AdChief Constable Mike Barton said: “It has been a fabulous day and it is great to see so many people here, despite some rather wet weather at times.”
Sgt Iain Rodgers, from the bike section, added: “Bikewise has been a tremendous success over the years and has helped our efforts to improve road safety.
“However, motorcyclists remain among the most vulnerable of our road users and there are important messages to take away from the event to help keep them safe on the roads.”
