Ewesley Road Ladies’ Fellowship is proud to present The Music Makers who will perform in the church tomorrow at 7.30pm. This event is open to all. Tickets are £2 and you can pay at the door.

St Luke’s Church coffee morning will take place on Saturday in the JB Hall at the church starting at 10am. There will be coffee and scone, raffle and bric-a-brac stall.

Call into the Vintage and Craft fair at Sunderland Minster on Saturday, which will be held from 10am to 3pm. On sale will be handmade items, jewellery, hand knitted items, hand-crafted greetings cards and gift bags and lots more. Refreshments will also be available. Admission is 50p for adults and children are free.

A pancake party will be held at St Mary Magdalene’s Parish Centre, Wilson Street, on Tuesday, February 9, at 7pm. Tickets for this event are £3.50.

St Gabriel’s Church coffee morning will take place on Saturday, February 13, from 10.30am to noon and is in aid of church funds. Cost is £1 for coffee and scone and there will also be a cake stall and raffle. All are welcome. Wear something red to celebrate the eve of Valentine’s Day

Sunderland Cardiac Support Group holds exercise classes for you and your partner/carer at Bede Tower, Burdon Road, near The Civic Centre. The classes are held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10am to 11am and 11.15am to 12.15pm and are done in a relaxed atmosphere at your own pace.

Outlook, a relaxed midweek service, is held at St Gabriel’s Church on the second and fourth Monday of the month. The next one will be Monday, February 8, from 2pm to 3pm. This is a short, informal service, followed by refreshments and a chat

Sunderland Cardiac Support Group’s monthly meeting will be held on Thursday, February 11, at 6.45pm in The Education Centre, Sunderland Royal Hospital. Bernard Hope will be guest speaker giving an illustrated talk on Eddie Chapman-Safe Cracker and Double Agent.

Sunderland Arthritis Care Group will meet tomorrow from 6pm to 8pm in The Education Centre, Sunderland Royal Hospital. The speaker on this occasion will be Peter McQuillan, from Oliver’s Dental Studio.

A crafty fun club is held at Burn Park Methodist Church on Tuesdays from 5.30pm to 6.30pm. This is for children aged five to eight.

Tea and Bingo will be held at St Mary Magdalene’s Parish Centre, Wilson Street, on Saturday , February 13, starting at 1.30pm.

On the last Sunday of the month, Pallion Gospel Hall, Pallion Road, will hold a family service, at 4pm followed by tea.

The Church of The Nazarene, Westbury Street, has various activities. On Mondays from 10am to noon its tea and toast, this is free. All are welcome. On Tuesdays ladies’ night from 7pm to 9pm, and also men’s night from 7pm to 9pm. Wednesdays there is a crafty class (card making) from 10am to noon and Bible study class from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. Toddlers meet on Thursdays from 10am to noon. Then Sunday service is from 10.30am to noon, followed by Sunshine Sunday School from 12.15pm to 1pm, then Gospel Service from 6pm to 7.30pm.

Ewesley Road W.I meet in The Enid Dagg Room of the Church on Wednesday 3rd February at 2.15p.m Speaker is Anne Chisholm Tea and More-Ringtons. Stall is Cakes, and Competition is Ornament. Visitors when attending £1.

Sunderland Minster Playgroup meets every Tuesday from 9.30am to 11.30am. Babies and Toddlers are welcome to bring their mums, dads, grandparents and carers to join them in play and creative learning. Sessions cost £1.50. Refreshments are available
