Bishopwearmouth Garden Nursery will give a flower and plant demonstration in The Underchurch at St Gabriel’s Church on Monday, June 13 at 1pm.

Free entry and there are refreshments and a raffle.

All proceeds are for church funds.

Coffee Mornings are held at Burn Park Methodist Church on the third Saturday of every month.

Sunderland Arthritis Care hold its monthly meeting tomorrow from 6pm-­8pm in The Education Centre, Sunderland Royal Hospital.

Norman Kirtland will give a talk on Forensics.

Sunderland Floral Art Club are going on its spring outing to Skipton, North Yorkshire, on Tuesday June 14.

A buffet luncheon will be served, while they enjoy a leisurely three-hour cruise on one of the most beautiful stretches of the Leeds and Liverpool Canal.

Time has also been allowed mid afternoon for a visit to the old market town.

As part of The Sunderland Millfield Salvation Army’s Young People’s Anniversary Celebrations, a Community Fund Day will take place on Saturday, June 25, from 10­am-2pm.

This event is free to all, and includes hot dogs, burgers, drinks, inflatables, a magician,Punch and Judy, crafts,junior musicians,Indian community dancers, balloon modelling, a police car, plus much more.

The Sunday Worship Services are at 11am and 6pm.

Leading them for the day will be former Commanding Officers Majors Steve and Hilary Naylor, who now live and work in Bristol.

An Open Arms Coffee Morning will be held in The Aidan Room of St Nicholas Church tomorrow from 10.30­-noon.

This is a support network of carers who get together for an informal chat, time out and the chance to spend time with other people who share and understand experiences, and appreciate the difficulties of living with the pressure of everyday life.

St Nicholas Church is a Community Connector Hub for the East Ward of Sunderland.

Deptford and Millfield Community Association are having a table-top sale on Saturday, June 25, starting at 2.30pm.

Stalls include, tombola, bottles, CD’s, cakes, jumble sale and household goods.

This is followed at 4pm by bingo. The proceeds from these events are to buy new curtains for the hall and lino for the kitchen.

If anyone would like to donate anything to the fundraising, hand it in to Deptford and Millfield Community Association, 270 Hylton Road, Monday­ to Friday, from 6­pm-8pm.

A coffee morning will be held in The JB Hall of St Luke’s Church, Pallion, on Saturday, from 10-noon with coffee and scone, raffle and bric­-a-brac.

Ewesley Road WI meet tomorrow at 2.15pm in The Enid Dagg Room of the Church.

This will be a members afternoon with fashion show, stall, accessories, competition “guestimate” and there will be a strawberry tea.

Tea and bingo is on offer on Saturday at 1.30pm in St Mary Magdalene’s Parish Centre, Wilson Street.
