Band member in hospital after collapsing at Chester-le-Street festival
Alan Wallbanks, the bass player in Queen tribute band Flash, had been getting his gear ready to go on stage at Riverside Park.
On-site first aiders reacted quickly to treat him, and according to a post from the organisers of the event on Facebook, he is now in an induced coma in intensive care, in a critical but stable condition.

"Brain scans are thankfully OK, which is probably due to the amazing on-site first-aiders who were so quick to react - thanks guys.
"Alan had a funny turn whilst getting his gear ready to go on stage, followed by his sudden collapse.
"Once again thanks for all the comments of support for him and to the Stereotonics guys for stepping in and performing their awesome Oasis set to us at extremely short notice."
The festival was watched by a sell-out crowd of between 1,500 and 2,000, according to organisers.
The band Flash is based in Shrewsbury.
