Armistice 100: Readers share their Remembrance Sunday pictures of Sunderland

Thousands of people took part in Remembrance Sunday events around Sunderland as Britain remembered its fallen.

Yesterday was the 100th anniversary of the Armistice which marked the end of the First World War, and commemorative events were held the length and breadth of the country.

Many of our readers had their cameras handy to capture their memories of this once-in-a-lifetime event.
