A1M now reopen northbound between Durham and Chester-le-Street
One of the region's busiest routes was blocked this morning while police dealt with an incident.
The A1M was closed northbound between Junction 62 with the A690 and the A167 at Chester-le-Street.
Durham Police confirmed they were at the scene.
The road reopened shortly before 11am.
