“Thankfully, nobody was seriously injured. The road was temporarily closed to allow a clear-up operation to take place but has since reopened and both vehicles recovered.”

The fire service sent a crew from its Marley Park Community Fire station after it received a call at 9.15am.

A spokesperson for TWFRS said: “Everyone was already out of the vehicle when the firefighters arrived so our involvement was limited to making the vehicles safe.”
