5. Beadnell
Beadnell Bay is Northumberland's premier beach for watersports. It also benefits from easy access from the village's main car park. The golden sweep of sand is generally one of the more sheltered spots on the county's coastline. It is also possible to walk all the way to Dunstanburgh is the tide is out. Photo: Jane Coltman
