The latest Census data published in 2022 shows that 13.3% of households live in detached properties compared to 22.9% across England.
Detached properties generally come with significantly higher rental and purchase values, providing a good indicator of wealth and affluence.
However, it must also be factored in that the age of the housing, location and space to build will also determine the volume of detached properties in each area.
