Grosvenor Casino Sunderland expands gaming floor with addition of 26 new slot machines
Grosvenor Casino Sunderland has expanded its gaming floor with the addition of 26 new slot machines, increasing the total to 46 and introducing over 350 new games for visitors.
The move is part of the casino’s strategy to enhance the player experience and provide more entertainment options for local customers. It follows changes introduced under the Department for Culture, Media and Sport’s 2025 Gambling Act Review, which allowed land-based casinos to increase their slot machine allocation.
Mark Hunter, General Manager at Grosvenor Casino Sunderland, said: “We’re thrilled to have enhanced our gaming offer here in Sunderland. This investment demonstrates our continued commitment to provide cutting-edge gaming options for our players.

“I’m so proud of the elevated player experience we can offer – there's nothing better than seeing someone walk away with one of the £20,000 jackpots! It always creates such a brilliant atmosphere.”
Located in Sunniside, Grosvenor Casino Sunderland offers a mix of premium gaming and casual dining, featuring table games such as Blackjack, Roulette, and Poker alongside slots and electronic roulette.
The expansion reinforces its position as a leading leisure destination in the North East and provides both new and returning visitors with a wider variety of gaming experiences. The casino’s latest investment is aimed at boosting local entertainment options while maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for all players.
