With Government guidelines now advising that people can meet up with a limited number of friends in outdoor spaces, The Saltgrass in Deptford has launched a cocktail service where you can pour your favourite drinks from a huge jar in your garden.
A range of cocktails, sangria and Pimms are available to buy for takeout in six-litre reusable glass jars, which have their own tap for easy pouring.

Hide AdSaltgrass owner Walter Veti shared a teaser image of the jars ahead of the launch and they’re already grabbing people’s attention with hundreds of shares on Facebook.
With pubs still shut due to the pandemic, Walter has adapted the business in line with Government guidelines and has already had success with mini real ale casks which are also available for collection or delivery.
He explained: “With restrictions being eased this week meaning people can meet with others in their gardens, we decided the cocktails would be perfect for garden gatherings and barbecues.”
People can turn up to the door of the pub, which has plenty of free parking, to buy a cocktail jar, all of which are made fresh to order, or pre-order through The Saltgrass Facebook.

The bar is also doing a Hulk cocktail for a limited time, harking bark to the days when Walter owned the former Lola’s bar in Green Terrace where it was a favourite tipple.
The price is £60 per jar, or £45 for a refill.
Walter said: “We’re selling the jars for what we pay for them and you get a good quality jar to keep. People can use them afterwards for lemonade or iced water, or they can bring them back to us for refills. It works out at about £2.25 a cocktail.”
It comes as the Echo is running its #SupportLocal campaign to encourage people to support local business.
