15 photos from STACK Seaburn as the seaside venue opens for business

It was delayed from its planned opening in August, but STACK Seaburn is finally here.

Now the food and drinks venue, made from 20 shipping containers, opened its doors to the first customers on Friday, September 4.

And it certainly seemed to hit the spot with its first visitors.

Social distancing measures were, of course, in place.

Maureen McDonough said: “It’s the first time we’ve been out for a drink somewhere since March. It’s outside and everything is spaced out, which helps.”

Due to coronavirus restrictions tables must be booked in advance.

Bosses have pulled together a Covid-19 Safe Playbook for customers and staff with all the details of the measures in place.
