A dining institution in Sunderland for almost 100 years, Louis cafe in Park Lane served its last brew in 2018. The business first started in Ryhope in 1924 and later opened in Crowtreee Road in Sunderland city centre before moving premises to Park Lane in 1975. It became a popular spot for a proper cuppa and a slice of pie. Pictured here are retiring Maria and Stephen Lee with staff. Photo: Tim Richardson
