Timings Go North East Santa bus will be in Sunderland, Ryhope and Roker today

The magical open-top bus has been touring the region in the run up to Christmas, offering families a chance to see Santa when they are unable to do so as they normally would.

The bus has been decorated with Christmas lighting that has been kindly donated by Parkside Community Centre.

The Santa bus tour will not stop but will be moving slowly enough to get photos and videos.

The bus will set off from Plawsworth at noon, then visit Sacriston (12.10pm), Langley Park (12.25pm), Ushaw Moor (12.40pm), New Brancepeth, Brandon (12.50pm), and Durham (1.15pm).

It will then head up the A690 to East Herrington (2pm), Farringdon, New Silksworth (2.15pm), Ryhope Colliery, Hollycarrside (2.30pm), Grangetown (2.40pm), Sunderland Fawcett Street (2.55pm), Roker, Seaburn Park (3.10pm) and Monkwearmouth (3.30pm).

The bus will be back in Sunderland at 11am, tomorrow, Christmas Eve, then visit Chester-le-Street at 11.45am.
