We all know about Sunderland’s incredible 1973 FA Cup run – but do you remember the shops which were around at the time?

We have found 13 Echo archive photos which show shops, clubs and pubs which were in the news during that incredible period.

Some were pictured as fans set off for Wembley. Others were snapped in a deserted town centre on Cup final day.

And some were in the picture when Sunderland brought the cup back home in front of tens of thousands of fans.
