We asked followers of the Echo’s nostalgia page on Facebook, called Wearside Echoes.
The question we out to our 4,000-plus members was ‘If you could step back in time to your favourite dance venue from Sunderland's past, where would it be?’
There were some great answers and these are some of them. Take a look and see if this matches your memories of dance night from the past.
Back in 2017, we asked for your memories of Genevieves and the social media post was seen by 120,000 people. In our latest poll, it was a front runner with Bill Bow, Linda Robson, Wendy Weightman, Debra Bent and Marion Hall all voting it as their favourite.
Wendy asked: "Brilliant Saturday nights in 1976. Can anyone remember the tree in there?"
