They would test their fitness levels with a parkrun, or perhaps take part for the cameraderie.
Others would come along with their families. And others to volunteer and make sure the event remained the phenomenon it has become.
Parkrun is on temporary hold because of the pandemic but we are sure it will return – and even more of us will enjoy the unique experience of running 5k for the sheer fun of it.
