Thirty two years ago, Park Lane and the surrounding area had shops for all tastes and they featured in the Sunderland Echo.Now, we’re spotlighting them once again and asking ‘how many do you remember’.
Did you regularly shop in town and which shops do you now miss most. Did you buy toys in Joseph’s toy store, book a holiday or buy your albums in our once thriving town centre?
Bridesworld of Park Lane had everything you need for the bride, groom and attendants. And you could also hire a Rolls Royce from the same place.
