From Elizabeth's to Louis - a look at the cafes you loved in Sunderland

Don’t you miss them? We are talking about Sunderland’s cafes and being able to sit down for a warming tea, coffee and favourite snack.

The pandemic may be putting paid to our chances to meet up with friends for a warming brew.

But there’s still plenty of memories to enjoy while we wait for the day when we can chat over a cuppa once more.

We asked followers of the Sunderland Echo’s nostalgia page on Facebook ‘Which was the Sunderland cafe you loved the most in decades gone by?’

Dozens of people gave their replies on the Wearside Echoes page and here are some of their answers.
