It’s National Allotments Week and we are celebrating with a reflection on some scenes which we rooted out of the Sunderland Echo archives.
Giant pumpkins in Shields Road, a barbecue at a community allotment, and the official opening of a new site at Marley Pots. We have it all.
So if you are planning to celebrate our great allotments, why not start by browsing through our retro selection. It might just sow the seeds of some great memories.
