And the link is …. they all have a connection to Cleadon, said Barbara Benner who was the founder of the Cleadon Village Memories group on Facebook.
And there is certainly plenty to shout about in Cleadon which has links to a number of familiar faces, said Barbara.
We feature 9 of them in this retro spotlight but you can find out more about the village by visiting its social media page here.
The page looks at everything from old shops to schools. Members are encouraged to share their memories of days gone by no matter whether they still live in the area or whether they are admirers of Cleadon from afar.
