Support for Sunderland mum diagnosed with coronavirus as patient receives treatment at South Tyneside District Hospital

The woman, who was confirmed to be suffering from the illness on Monday, March 9 by Public Health England, is described as being in a stable condition in South Tyneside District Hospital.
Her family, who do not want to be named, spoke of their shock after the woman’s diagnosis – adding that she had never been abroad in her life and doesn’t often leave the house.

Hide AdAs the news broke earlier this week, members of the Sunderland and South Tyneside communities shared well-wishes for the woman and her loved ones as doctors continued to do “all they can” to support her with treatment.
