Evie Field is 7th in the UK in a table of the biggest influencers on the social media app. She has 10 million followers and has attracted 275 million likes for her regular posts about her battle with Tourette’s.

She has also been placed first in the Voice of Change category.

But modest Evie isn’t in it for the celebrity status. Her mission is to ‘destroy the stigma’ which surrounds the syndrome.

She told the Echo: “The community that I have built on there is amazing. I have met so many friends that also have Tourette’s Syndrome and they are friends that I will have for life.”

Evie added: “Being first on the Voice of Change category means so much to me,

"The category is people who are unique, who have a disability, and my biggest aim on Tiktok is to raise awareness and destroy the stigma of Tourettes, so being first place makes me feel like I am really achieving that,

"And for my best friend Nikki Lilly to be second place is such an amazing thing for us to share.”
